Is this just another AI gateway?+
Governe includes a gateway to enforce policy inside your network — but the gateway isn't the product. The product is the system of record above it: the inventory, owners, budgets, and policies that define what every gateway, model, and agent is allowed to do.
Does it replace our existing tools?+
No. Governe routes to the providers you already use — OpenAI, Azure, Anthropic, Vertex, Bedrock — and to your own apps and agents. It sits above them as the record and enforcement layer.
What if our network is intermittent or air-gapped?+
Enforcement is offline-first. The runtime works from cached, signed policy — no call to Governe in the request path. Telemetry buffers and retries, with a configurable staleness window and fail-closed or allow-with-audit behavior.
We already have OneTrust / a GRC platform. Why Governe?+
Keep it. GRC platforms hold your policies and attestations — but they have no presence in the request path, no spend tracking, and no discovery of AI that was never registered. Governe is the operational record underneath: it discovers what actually exists, enforces the policy at runtime, and can feed the evidence your GRC platform reports on.
Our platform team already runs LiteLLM / a gateway. Isn't that enough?+
A self-run gateway governs the traffic developers choose to route through it — and nothing else. It has no view of SaaS copilots, embedded AI, or unsanctioned tools; no ownership or approval record; no answer when the board asks what exists and what it's worth.
